JEALOUSY
It was Shakespeare who called jealousy a "green-eyed monster," and if you've ever let this attitude come over you then you know he was right. The dictionary defines jealousy as "mental uneasiness from suspicion or fear of rivalry, resentment against a rival, a person enjoying success or advantage over another."

The amazing thing about jealousy is it seldom hurts the one you are envying. The only thing it does is eat away at your own mind.

In James 3:14-16, it says, "If you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every evil practice."

In 1 Timothy 6:8, Paul writes, "But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that."

And he didn't have TV's, or iPod's, or indoor plumbing, so make your attitude like Paul's, being well-rounded and content.
